Aigul E. Sarvarova was successful in obtaining summary judgment dismissing the plaintiff’s complaint and all cross-claims against Jofaz Transportation, Inc. and Charles Cordero.
The plaintiff, Liliane Pimenetel, sustained injuries when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident with the bus owned by defendant, Jofaz Transporation, Inc., and operated by defendant Charles Cordero. The plaintiff claimed that the defendant’s bus collided with her vehicle which caused her to sustain serious injuries. Defendant’s bus driver denied contact with the plaintiff’s vehicle.
The Honorable Mark I. Partnow found that the defendants had met their burden of proof that there was no serious injury and the plaintiff did not meet the burden of demonstrating a serious injury. Thus, Judge Partnow Granted defendants’ motion for summary judgment.
